We collect personal information from you.
Providing such information is optional to you. If you choose not to provide us with certain information, for example: your credit/debit card details or delivery address, we may be unable to complete sale of our products/services to you.
We collect personal information about you in order to be able to: verify your identity; process payment of your purchases from our store; deliver our products to you; to improve the services and products that we provide to you; to respond to communications from you, including a complaint; to protect and/or enforce our legal rights and interests, including defending any claim; for any other purpose authorised by you or the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993 (“the Act”).
Besides our staff, your personal information is accessible to: any business that supports us in being able to provide our services and products to you (for example: our payment services provider who allows us accept credit / debit cards or other payments from you (currently, Stripe); our content management system provider (currently, Squarespace)); a person who can require us to supply your personal information by law (e.g. a regulatory authority); any other person authorised by the Act or another law (e.g. a law enforcement agency); any other person authorised by you.
We need your personal information in order to complete transaction of your purchase from us.
Whilst we will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss, unauthorised activity, or other misuse and maintain secure internet connections, please note that if you provide us with personal information over the internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk. If you post your personal information on the website’s (message board/ chat room/ blog comments), you acknowledge and agree that the information you post is publicly available. If you follow a link on our website to another site, the owner of that site will have its own privacy policy relating to your personal information. We suggest you review that site’s privacy policy before you provide personal information.
We do not store any of your card information on our servers.
Subject to certain grounds for refusal set out in the Act, you have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. Before you exercise this right, we will need evidence to confirm that you are the individual to whom the personal information relates.
